Please book an appointment with Anita.VACCINATION AGAINST CERVICAL CANCERThere is a vaccine to protect against cervical cancer and it's being offered by our practice to all females aged 19 to 26. You will need 3 injections of Gardasil over 6 months to get the best protection. This is the 1st time a vaccination programme against cervical cancer has been provided in this country, so we have a great opportunity to help prevent the spread of a very serious disease. If you'd like more information, please visit www.immunisation.nhs.uk/hpv.
We will be sending out letters to our female patients in this age group in the near future. You should receive a letter containing the details of these clinics. Please book your appointment with one of our nurses. CANCELLING APPOINTMENTSWe lose more than one doctors surgery and one nurses surgery each week due to patients not attending their appointment. To help improve access to doctors and nurses, please cancel your appointment if you are unable to attend. The more notice you give us, the more chance there is of another patient booking that appointment. The cancellation line number is: 01204 799955. Thank you for your co-operation. ORGAN DONATIONOrgan donation registration in the UK is at a seriously low level. Dealing with illness or accident is a traumatic experience - think about yourself or your family and how it might impact on your lives if you had to be included on a waiting list for organ transplant. If you are not already registered we'd like to encourage you to give this your serious consideration. If you decide you and your family would like to become organ donors you can pick up a leaflet and registration form from the surgery.
