APPOINTMENTSOur appointment system has changed in June 2010. If you need to see a GP you may phone the surgery in the morning (from 8.45am) & we aim to offer you a same day appointment. Alternatively, you may book in advance, with a GP of your choice if you wish, but you will wait longer to see a GP. For your information, we offer appointments up to 7.45pm on Mon, Tues & Wed evenings and from 7am on Thurs & Fri mornings. These appointments are for those patients who find it difficult to attend the surgery during working hours, due to work commitments etc.
We also now offer many more telephone appointments with our doctors and nurses, for those problems that can easily be dealt with over the telephone. Our reception staff may ask you if you problem is suitable for a telephone appointment. This enables our patients better access to our GPs and nurses over the telephone.
Our nursing appointments remain the same, these are all bookable in advance.
We have had a great response to our new system and we have reduced the number of non attended appointments dramatically, enabling us to see up to 100 extra patients each week.
If you cannot attend any appointment at the practice, please ring our 24 hour cancellation line on 01204 799955 & leave your name, date of birth & date & time of your appointment.
Before booking an appointment, please remember:
• Do not make an appointment for a repeat prescription
• Do not make an appointment to have forms completed
• Doctors have no treatment for minor ailments e.g., colds , sore throats, minor stomach
upsets etc.your local pharmacist can help with these. If symptoms persist, please feel free
to ring for advice.
• If your appointment is a query about your hospital appointment or referral, please ask to speak to a secretary
Patients are reminded that they may book telephone consultations with our GPs and Nurses if
no medical examination is required.
