OUT OF HOURS
EMERGENCIES
The NHS has set up a 24 hour confidential helpline called NHS Direct. It is staffed by trained nurses who can give immediate information and advice on medical problems. The number to ring is: 0845 4647
 
If you require medical advice when the surgery is closed, please phone the surgery. An answerphone will instruct you to ring the Out of Hours service on 01204 386655, who will deal with your medical problem. Please do not abuse this emergency service with minor complaints which could wait until the next available surgery.
 
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
The practice has a separate telephone number for ordering repeat prescriptions:- Bolton 579590.
The line is open from 9am to 12 noon and 2pm to 5pm. Prescriptions can be ordered by telephone, in writing or by calling in at the surgery. Please give two working days notice. Prescriptions will be available for collection every weekday.
 
TEST RESULTS
Please contact the surgery after 2pm. To maintain confidentiality results can only be given to patients themselves or to the parents of minors (if appropriate).
