Welcome to Dr Lancashire & Partners Practice

Dr Lancashire & Partners is a long standing and established practice which has served the people of this area for over 50 years. We have always placed an important emphasis on quality and standard of care and our aim is to provide high quality of care to both prevent and treat illness amongst our patients.
 
Background History
The Practice as we know it today was started by Dr Whitewright on his return from active service and on his retirement became known as Dr Hardman & Partners. On the retirement of Dr Hardman in July 2004 the practice became Dr Lancashire and Partners.
The original site of the surgery was a private house in Tonge Moor and as the practice expanded it came to operate also from branch surgeries in Breightmet and Harwood. At this time throughout the 1960's and 1970's the practice was run in the main by the doctors. The current senior partner joined in 1974. From then to the present day the practice has moved first to Tonge Moor Health Centre and later to Harwood Health Centre which is now owned by the partnership. Over the past 20 years or so the partnership has expanded to be 6 partners and 3 GP's, total of 9 doctors strong along with the practice nurses. We have gradually developed our role in training and teaching and currently we train young GP's and teach students from Manchester Medical School.
 
Our Practice as a total has Five full time doctors and four part time doctors, one GP Registrar,two full time Practice Nurses, one part time Practice Nurse, one Healthcare Assistant, one Practice Manager, and 11 reception staff.
