DISTRICT NURSING
Rachel, district nursing sister, is the leader of the team of district nurses attached to the practice. She is supported by three staff nurses. The district nurses are based at Waters Meeting Health Centre (Tel 463020). The district nurses provide nursing care for people in their own homes. An evening and night service is available, details and contact numbers from district nurses.

TREATMENT ROOM
The district nurses also run treatment rooms for patients requiring changes of dressing, ear syringing, suture removal or certain regular injections. The nearest treatment room is at Lever Chambers (tel 360083)walk-in centre, or Waters Meeting Health Centre (tel 463020) where patients are seen by appointment. There are several other treatment rooms in health centres around the town, but unfortunately there is no treatment room at Halliwell at present.
COUNSELLOR
Carol Peall, our practice counsellor has a wide range of experience in all aspects of counselling. She works in the practice for one day each week. See your GP to discuss referral for counselling.
MIDWIVES
Jane Mulligan is the Team Leader for the midwives attached to the practice. The midwifery team offer advice and care in the community and in the hospital during pregnancy, delivery and in the first few weeks after your baby is born. A midwife attends the Antenatal clinic in the practice each Thursday afternoon.
