• Tina has worked here at the practice since 1989. Barbara joined our team in June 2009 and has helped us develop our telephone triage service.
    
• They have specialist qualifications in managing a wide range of illnesses.
    
• Their main responsibility is to offer appointments to patients who need to be seen urgently, or who feel that they cannot wait till the next available routine doctors appointment. They are also available for telephone advice and non-urgent appointments. They are able to assess your problem, examine you, organise any tests that may be required and decide, with you, a course of treatment.
    
• They work in partnership with the doctors, the hospital and other health specialists.

Health Visitor

• The Health Visitors work in the community and are notified of the birth of all babies. They will then visit patients at home and offer advice on all aspects concerning immunisation and the development of children from birth to 5 years of age. Contact may be continued through further visiting at home and at Tonge Fold Health Centre. 
• The Health Visitors may be contacted at Tonge Children's Centre, Starkie Road, Bolton, BL2 2ED on 336745 or at Breightmet Health Centre on 463366. 

District Nurses - Janet Ottley (Team Leader)

• District Nurses provide nursing treatment and advice to the housebound and those recently discharged from the hospital. 
• Your District Nurse may be contacted at Tonge Fold Health Centre on 463580 on weekdays betwen 9.00 am - 9.30 am, 2.00 pm - 2.30 pm and 4.00 pm - 4.30 pm.
