Training Practice
Over the past few years the practice has taken a strong training role. All at the practice feel this is important, it keeps us up to date, on our toes and increases the availability of appointments. We are an approved training practice for GP Registrars, Medical Students, Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses.
GP Registrars are experienced hospital doctors who are spending a year in the practice in order to complete their training to become a general practitioner. Part of this training involves videoing themselves during their consultations with patients. This will be viewed only by the Registrar themselves and the GP Trainer and is for training purposes only. You may be asked for your permission for the Registrar to video your consultation. We will respect your wish not to be videoed without question.
Please refer to our training information folder in the waiting area for more details

Fellowship by AssessmentThe Fellowship by Assessment Award is the gold standard of quality awarded by the Royal College of General Practitioners, currently held by less that 150 GP's in the country. It is an indepth assessment of the detailed workings of the practice. Both Dr. Page and Dr. Kirby passed the award in November 1997. Unfortunately Dr. McMillen was unable to take the assessment at the time because she had not been a member of the Royal College long enough. All the practice were involved and it reflects all our work. |
